adding variable squares is my biggest problem. Can some one help me understand it? I am a beginner at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for beginning this subject?

What exactly don't you understand about adding variable squares? I remember having difficulty with the same thing in Algebra 1, so I think I could try to give you some advice on how to handle such problems. However if you want help with math on a long term basis, then you should get Algebrator, that's what I did in my Remedial Algebra, and I have to say it's the best ! It's less expensive than a private teacher and you can use it anytime you want . It's not hard to use it, even if you never ever used a similar program. I would advise you to purchase it as soon as you can and forget about getting a algebra teacher. You won't regret it!

I too have had problems in function domain, parallel lines and conversion of units. I was informed that there are a number of programs that I could try out. I tried out several but then the finest that I discovered was Algebrator. Simply keyed in the problem and clicked the ‘solve’. I got the response at once. In addition, I was steered through to the answer by an easily comprehensible step-by-step procedure. I have relied on this program for my difficulties with College Algebra, Algebra 2 and Remedial Algebra. If I were you, I would surely go for this Algebrator.

Algebrator is a very simple product and is definitely worth a try. You will find lot of interesting stuff there. I use it as reference software for my math problems and can swear that it has made learning math much more fun .
