Welcome aboard dear. This subject is very interesting, but you need to know your basics and techniques first. Algebrator has helped me a lot in my course. Do give it a try and it will work for you as well .
Since the Algebrator is user friendly, any one can get it installed and start using it within minutes. Prior experience is not at all essential to work with the Algebrator. Be it powers, roots or syntehtic division, go ahead and type it in the search box that comes up as soon as you open Algebrator. This gives you a select set of links that offer all the necessary information on the topic of your choice. You can go through the links one by one and completely comprehend the fundamentals of Algebra 1.
Algebrator is a great software and is definitely worth a try. You will also find quite a few interesting stuff there. I use it as reference software for my math problems and can say that it has made learning math more fun .
