compass algebra refresher

I think God would have been in a really bad mood decided to come up with something called algebra to trouble us! I’ve spent days trying to figure out a solution to this math problem which relates to compass algebra refresher and I still can’t crack it . I’m particularly stuck on binomials, factoring polynomials and complex fractions. Can anyone show me the way on how to go about finding a solution to such problems? I’ve tried all ways that I could think of, but none helped. I need some urgent help now. Anybody?

Some time ago I was also stuck on a similar problems like you, but then I came across Algebrator. I remember having often faced problems with trigonometry, rational equations and dividing fractions. A really great piece of algebra program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem homework a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many algebra classes – Remedial Algebra, Algebra 1 and College Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.
